Sydenham Train Stations

Sydenham has four railway stations. Well three and a half really as Penge East straddles the border at the end of Newlands Park.

Penge East and Sydenham Hill has frequent trains to Victoria and peak time trains to Blackfriars. The services are now being increased as they no longer have to make way for Eurostar expresses after the transfer of the Paris & Brussels service from Waterloo to St Pancras in October 2007.

Sydenham itself is on the mainline from East Croydon to London Bridge and Charing Cross. From 2010 it will also join the London Overground Network as the East London Line is extended south to West Croydon and Crystal Palace. Penge West & Forest Hill Stations are on the same line and service communities on the southern and northern boundaries of Sydenham

Lower Sydenham provides frequent services to Cannon Street and Charing Cross.

Sydenham Bus Services

The 176 service provides a frequent 24 hour service to Oxford Circus via Forest Hill, East Dulwich, Camberwell, Elephant & Castle and Waterloo.

More local destinations are served by routes 75, 122, 194, 197, 202, 356 & 450.
